Maybe because I already read the 4hours work week,but i find this book useless 300pages to say something very simple in a very cliche way.It could be a good book for people with no background to the matter of entrepeneurship or woth little education, but dont bother if you dont like sensational writing and basic concepts sold as if they were rocket science

Fantastic book that helps you step back from the day to day of your business and focus on the big picture After establishing the big picture the book gives you templates for how to change your business to fit the big picture you desire.

The business of business is business is the main principle of this book It doesn t matter what you are or what you do in business, it only matters in your ability to build a business The book is mostly written in a story like narrative which helps to make it an easy read Its really a matter of whether you believe in his philosophy or not as to whether you will like the book It definitely has some insight into the realities of most small businesses and reasons as to why most of them fail.

Simple message of work on your small business, not in it See the gap from where you are to where you want to be Standardize your process and measure results Read like a 270 page infomercial for his web based consultant business Meh Our feeble attempts to fix the world can t change the overall condition If they work at all, they can only change the circumstances in which we find ourselves at any given moment.

One of the best business books I have ever read The book is filled with practical information about how to organise businesses for expansion It also has many examples of why most businesses fail Perhaps the best book recommendation made by Tim Ferris at the end of The Four Hour Work Week Essential reading for anyone interested in creating a successful business.

I was turned onto this book by one of my Real Estate friends She said she wished she would have read the book all the way through before beginning her business and suggested I read through to become motivated I really liked the book as a whole It wasn t your usual motivational self improvement book, it had stories and case studies to back up certain points I will read it again.

The case study used throughout the book seemed a bit forced There are however, great principals in this book for a small business that does not want to stay that way As with most of these business books, it can probably be boiled down to about 3 pages Most useful was the shareholder employee dialogue that he goes through and the prototyping of each job withing your company.

If your not starting your business because, you want to run a business, it s not going to work Passion is not a good reason to start a business Hiring someone to run your business, and then not paying them well, will probably make them look elsewhere And many common sense statements, made out to be amazing insights, are inside this book.

Such a clever book This 250 page self help guide delivers fantastics insights tobusiness I have never re read a book before So much information on so manydifferent levels Really easy to understand and no doubt will change myprofessional life The book to read before starting a business.

Rereading this book over the last couple of weeks was even enjoyable and powerful than the first time I read it 15 years ago Michael s ability to get to the heart of the key issues that every small business faces is quite brilliant.

I finally finished, that doesn t have anything to do with the usefulness of the information, that it takes a certain kind of motivation to get into it Worth reading if you are interested in starting your own business or already have one.

A good book for new entrepreneurs or those struggling with finding their way with their business Building processes is in fact very critical to building a business of value A seasoned entrpreneue will find this drawn out and over exemplified.

Some good ideas but not very well written Some of his analogies were very odd and the parts with actual written dialogue felt very forced.

Makes a great case for process driven business using a franchise model even when not planning to franchise Takes a while to get interesting though but the last 3rd of the book is the best.

This is an easy read and I ve read it twice now It is a must read for those who have started their own small business It even applies to those working in large, complex organizations.
